Let My People Go!!
Never before have those words carried so much meaning. We take our freedom for granted. The people in Israel did the same. Not this Passover.
Ma Nishtanta Hashana Hazot Mikol Hashanim? How is this year different from any other year?
As Jews we are obligated to tell the Passover story every year during the Seder. We have done so for generations. This year we are adding to our story, this year we are obligated to tell the world our story as we have our people, men, women, children, civilians and soldiers who are not free. They will not be sitting with their families at the Passover Seder.
We are obligated to continue to tell their story until they are home, free.
We are also committed to let the world know what happened on October 7th to women. Thank you for signing the petition. National President Carol Ann Schwartz delivered the petition signed by 129,859 Hadassah supporters from 118 countries and a letter signed by 116 organizations to UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
We must continue to spread the word this time by painting a nail yellow to shine a light on the brutal acts committed by Hamas against Israeli women and girls.
Please help by painting a Nail Yellow starting April 8- leading up to Passover, April 22: to Help #EndTheSilence
1. Paint a fingernail in bright, bold yellow — a color that can’t be ignored and will lead to questions and conversation.
2. Post a photo on your personal social media page including the hashtags #EndTheSilence and #Hadassah and tag Hadassah.
3. Email photos to engagement@hadassah.org.
GSW members paint nail yellows to #EndTheSilence about the sexual violence committed by Hamas at the Region Conference.
Wishing you a meaningful Seder and a Happy Passover.
