Area Advisors Wanted — Florida Atlantic Region is the largest region in the country, with almost 50 chapters. We are in the beginning stages of developing and instituting an Area Advisor Program. The purpose of the program is to stay in touch with chapters and provide guidance to chapters. We are all one Hadassah and want to be responsive to the needs of our chapters. If you are interested, please contact FAR Area Vice President Marilyn Fields, marilynfields@verizon.net.

Computer Skills Needed — Florida Atlantic Region was the last region in the country to transition to Hadassah’s current business process that centralized the banking process for chapters and regions. If you have basic hands on computer skills and would like to help chapters whose leadership is not entirely computer literate, please contact FAR Treasurer Ayala Layen-Slann, alalihadassah@gmail.com

I confess! I have been having an affair of the heart and soul for the past 57 years, in public no less. With whom, you ask? Why, Hadassah of course!

How does one feel the joy of purpose and connection with an organization that for 112 years has brought our brethren in Israel life saving health care and continues to do medical research that benefits all humanity?

The answer, of course is via PLANNED GIVING. Your gift, certain sums of money monthly, yearly, or in your will enables Hadassah to budget for necessary mundane services, eg. lights, air conditioning, purchase of medical supplies, bandaids, etc. These monies permit Hadassah to do what it does best without worrying about the upkeep costs of running two hospitals, youth villages etc. Hadassah can then provide the finest, most up to date medical care and continue to do research which will benefit all mankind.  Click here to read more

A Note From The Finance Department

As a result of the increased volume of checks to National and the Geo Areas due to the crisis campaign combined with year-end activity, as well as the continued fine tuning of the Salesforce automation, we are still processing 2023 gifts. Therefore, the summary tax letters might not yet reflect all 2023 contributions. We plan to finish getting through the backlog in the next few weeks.

"Wrestling with PTSD: How Healthcare Providers Can Help Win the Battle" Many people believe that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) only affects veterans of war or victims of major violence. The truth is that it can affect any of us at any time, especially in periods of high anxiety or decision making. In this Wednesday, March 13, 8 pm ET/5 pm PT program organized by the Hadassah Physicians Council, you will obtain a better understanding of PTSD, including how to recognize it -- and, crucially, you'll hear proven methods to try to deal with it. Hadassah Leaders of Tomorrow is a highly selective merit-based award is for young women entering 11th or 12th grade participating in Young Judaea’s Gesher Israel summer program. Hadassah Boynton Office Appointments Update

Hadassah’s Boynton Beach office is once again open to volunteers on a limited basis. If you need to visit the office, contact FloridaRequests@hadassah.org or call 561-498-1012 and leave a voicemail with your name, chapter and email address.
Post-Covid, our staff works on a hybrid schedule. We are in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All visitors must have an appointment to enter the office.
