Dear Hadassah Sisters and Associates,

Spring! It is a time of growth and celebration.  It is a glorious time to reflect on our accomplishments and our future and to fulfill our obligation of “Tikkun olam” - to repair the world. That’s what we do in Hadassah, help repair the world.  

Let’s consider one example of what that means and  how effective our collective efforts can be.  Dov Guggenheim has been a MS patient since 2015. Thanks to physicians at  Hadassah Medical Center, Dov has gone from paralyzed to athletic and from hopeless to hopeful and will run the Jerusalem Marathon to raise funds for stem cell research for Multiple Sclerosis.  You too, can participate in the race to find a cure!

We invite you to join one of Hadassah's annual giving programs, either Chai Society or Keepers of the Gate.  Members all over the country are choosing where they want their annual donation to go. When you are a Keeper of the Gate or a member of Chai Society, Hadassah can count on you, month after month, year after year. It is your commitment that makes a huge difference. You can change a life, give a helping hand to the most vulnerable, or support future medical miracles.

Our contributions through programs like Chai Society and Keepers of the Gate are the foundation of Hadassah‛s ability to continue to support our Hadassah Medical Organization, a worldwide leader in medical research.

● We lead the world in stem cell research, which has advanced the treatment of ALS, Parkinson‛s, MS, MLS, and Diabetes.

● We developed a blood test to detect gene mutation causing breast cancer.

● We created a vaccine to fight the re-occurrence of melanomas.

● In addition, we shelter “Israeli children at risk”, support Youth Aliyah and operate the very successful Hadassah College in Jerusalem.

Thanks to our members' generosity, the Hadassah Greater Atlanta chapter now has 179 members and associates participating in Hadassah's annual giving programs pledging over $122,800 a year. This includes 99 participants in ChaiSociety (including 11 Silver Chai) and 81 Keepers of the Gate (including 67 traditional Keepers, 11 Chai Keepers, and 3 Golden Keepers).  Some members participate in both programs! Our chapter 2018 Annual Giving Goal is to increase number of members and associates participating in annual giving by 15% this year, thus adding 15 new or advance in level Chai Givers and 12 new or advance in level Keepers of the Gate.

A fantastic bonus is the current "Step it Up" promotion.  Donors who STEP UP to annual giving or who increase their gift by a minimum of $180 will receive a complimentary open heart necklace.  Act quickly as our supply of necklaces is limited. 

Please help us meet our goal.  Would you consider giving $15 or $30 each month to be part of Hadassah’s Chai Society? Or $83.33 to be a Keeper of the Gate? Your generosity as an annual giver would ensure that Hadassah can continue to provide life-saving care to the people of Israel.

We make it easy. We will automatically charge your monthly gift of $15 on your credit card for Chai Society, or double your impact with $30 a month at the Silver Chai level, or $83.33 a month for Keepers of the Gate. If you prefer, you can make one annual payment of $180 or $360 or $1000. These contributions enable you to help save a life, to be part of something big, something vital.
