Dear Hadassah Sisters,
I hope that you are all enjoying the summer and doing your best to stay cool! I’m getting ready to head out to Las Vegas for the 2024 Hadassah National Conference. I am looking forward to learning more about Hadassah, to seeing friends, both old and new, but if I am to be honest, I am not looking forward to the heat.
How often do you read our Hadassah magazine? Actually read, not just flip through. I don’t always get to read everything; life is too busy, so I put it aside and try to get to it later. I’m always glad when I do get to it. I either find something that made my life a little richer, or brought out an emotional response I find cathartic, or sometimes it just makes me proud of what we do. Click here to read more

BUSTING OUT IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
On October 27th, Hadassah Florida Broward is Busting Out in Support of Breast Cancer Research. Our event will be held at the Soref Jewish Community Center, Administration Building at 8501 West Sunrise Boulevard, Plantation, Florida. Registration begins at 10:30 and the event will start at 11:00 AM.
We challenge your chapter, group or individuals to design bras that tell stories. You can share inspiration or simply show your creativity. Your chapter can work together, or members can form groups or work individually to create your showpiece. Use a bra as your canvas and join us as your masterpieces are unveiled at our Busting Out In Support of Breast Cancer Event. These decorated bras serve as a tribute to those affected by breast cancer.
Bra designers are asked to bring an index card with the title of the piece (if there is one), name(s) of the artist(s), and dedication or commentary if you wish.
Please join us as we raise funds for breast cancer research. All of us have been impacted by breast cancer in some way. If you can, please make additional donations in support of, or in memory of a loved one.

SPEAK OUT: Tell Congress to Support Reproductive Choice Two years after Roe v. Wade was overturned, access to reproductive care is under attack for women across the country. Restrictions on reproductive choice and care threaten women’s health. Join us in urging lawmakers to pass legislation to protect choice, contraception and fertility treatments.
OUR MISSION IN ACTION: Recommitting to Our Pride as Jews and Zionists “Summer is supposed to be a time to relax, but for Israel and the Jewish world, this is a year with no summer break,” Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz writes in Hadassah Magazine, touching on the alarming rise of antisemitism, Hadassah’s #EndTheSilence campaign and the upcoming elections.
