The terror and horror of the events unfolding in Israel are being felt by everyone throughout our community. Hadassah's response has been immediate and efficient, and the Hadassah Medical Organization has been providing expert medical care to soldiers and civilians. Learn about Hadassah's efforts by watching our Live Briefing From Hadassah — At War: Heal Israel Now featuring Hadassah leaders. Here in the US, our support for Israel is crucial. But we may need support, connections and community ourselves in these difficult times. Connect with Hadassah and connect with one another through our online programming about Zionism, Jewish literature, Jewish resilience and more.
Calling All Educators Join us for the Educators Council’s Steering Committee Meeting on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 8 pm ET (5 pm PT). This is open to all educators, active and retired, and will be an interactive session. This is an opportunity to have your voice heard as an educator, focusing on what you have to say. Discuss some of the burning issues in education impacting our society today: (1) antisemitism in our schools and communities, (2) Holocaust education, and (3) curriculum decision-making in education. We also want your input and ideas to help shape the future direction of our national Hadassah Educators Council.

Hadassah Magazine Discussion Thursday, November 16, 7 pm ET
What Makes a Book Jewish? Timed to coincide with Jewish Book Month, Hadassah Magazine Executive Editor Lisa Hostein hosts a panel conversation with celebrated Jewish writers Allegra Goodman, author of the National Book Award-winning Kaaterskill Falls and several other novels; Dani Shapiro, author of the novel Signal Fires and the memoir Inheritance, which both earned National Jewish Book Awards, among other honors; and Ruth Knafo Setton, whose debut novel, The Road to Fez, is inspired by her Moroccan Jewish heritage.
Support Israel in This Time of Crisis Help Hadassah rally support for Israel in this crisis. Urge your elected officials in Congress, as well as your governors and mayors, to stand with Israel against terrorism and support Israel’s right to defend itself. Please share this message and opportunity to take action with your networks.
