Happy New Year Everyone,

It is amazing to know that I am beginning my third year as President of Hadassah Greater Southwest Region. And what a year it promises to be!

First, I want to introduce you to our Executive Board (see below). These are the leaders who said “yes” when asked to serve on our region board. As the year goes on, I’ll also introduce you to our many chairs and chapter/group leaders who also said “yes”. If you have time and interest, there are many tasks you can help with for your chapter or group, many of which don’t take much time or are a one-time thing. Know social media? Have we got a job for you! Know how to run a Zoom meeting? We would love your help with that! Are you great meeting and greeting new people? Membership is the job for you! Do you know a lot of people in your community? You might just be the right person to organize a program or two. Are you interested in politics? Advocacy chair might appeal to you. Are you a good writer? Publicity chair might be a small task you could easily do. Just say “yes.”

As times change, so must our organization. Below is information about an upcoming survey being sent out to all our members we have emails for. I hope each of you will fill it out – it only takes 10 minutes but will let our national leadership know what our organizational structure should look like in the future. This is your organization – let us know what you think! The survey will be live January 9 thru January 20.

We are a philanthropic organization as you know. One way you can donate is by signing up to shop using AmazonSmile. It is an easy way to help Hadassah meet our donor goals. Thanks to customers that shop using AmazonSmile, everyday purchases make an impact. So far, AmazonSmile has donated $18,902.98 to Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America.

If you recall last month an anonymous donor pledged a $1 million match if we could raise that amount from new donations at the end to the year. Thanks to donors, like you, we did it. See the video below for more information.
