Hadassah Florida has a new text-to-donate option! Make your donation to Hadassah via your phone. Just text the word "DONATE" to (561) 867-2231 and follow the prompts. It's so easy!
Hadassah will be returning to in-person events and gatherings!
If your Hadassah chapter will be returning to in person events, local units are required to follow state and local laws and regulations, the current CDC guidelines and recommendations as well as the following Hadassah protocols in order to conduct activities in the safest and healthiest manner possible. Please note: applicable Florida law states that businesses operating in Florida may not require patrons/customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to or receive services from the business. These protocols have been mailed to chapter leadership. If you would like a copy of the protocols or have questions about implementing them, email floridarequests@hadassah.org.

Happy New Year! One of the traditions of the beginning of a new year is making resolutions.
The ancient Babylonians are said to have been the first people to make New Year’s resolutions, some 4,000 years ago. They were also the first to hold recorded celebrations in honor of the new year—though for them the year began not in January but in mid-March, when the crops were planted. They made promises to the gods to pay their debts and return any objects they had borrowed. These promises could be considered the forerunners of our New Year’s resolutions. If the Babylonians kept to their word, their (pagan) gods would bestow favor on them for the coming year. If not, they would fall out of the gods’ favor—a place no one wanted to be.
Florida 50 Delivery Room
Thank you to everyone who donated earlier this year to the Florida 50 Project. Your donation supports a new Delivery Room, the future of Jerusalem’s population, and ensures the health and wellbeing of every mother and child.The temporary plaque is on the Mezanine level at Ein Kerem until the construction is completed and a permanent plaque can be placed at Mount Scopus.

Now we are thrilled to bring that experience to you at home! Watch and share these highlight videos that put you at the center of the action, including Hadassah Pride featuring moving patient stories from the Hadassah Medical Organization and our Youth Aliyah villages, and Hadassah Honors, with award recipients Marlene Post and First Lady of the State of Israel Michal Herzog.
Upcoming Hadassah Magazine Discussion: Live with Zibby Owens an online conversation between Executive Editor Lisa Hostein and book maven, best-selling author and podcaster Zibby Owens. Owens's growing media company includes a publishing house and a number of podcasts, most notably the award-winning daily show Moms Don't Have Time to Read Books and her recent best seller Bookends: A Memoir of Love, Loss and Literature. Thursday, January 19, 2023, 7 pm ET.
Are you ready to learn Hebrew? These 45-minute sessions are a wonderful opportunity for Hadassah members and Associates to learn Hebrew vocabulary and conversation skills and prepare for the upcoming 100th National Convention in Israel.
