Dear Hadassah Sisters,
We just finished celebrating Hanukkah, our holiday of rededication. We have so much to be thankful for when considering our history.
A hero or heroine comes to our aid.
Henrietta Szold is one of our heroines.
She faced problems by finding solutions.
When Baltimore in the latter 1800's experienced a large influx of Russian Jewish immigrants who needed to learn English for economic and social stability, she started classes that were open to all immigrants. These classes became an established night school system.

Hadassah will be returning to in-person events and gatherings!
If your Hadassah chapter will be returning to in person events, local units are required to follow state and local laws and regulations, the current CDC guidelines and recommendations as well as the following Hadassah protocols in order to conduct activities in the safest and healthiest manner possible. Please note: applicable Florida law states that businesses operating in Florida may not require patrons/customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to or receive services from the business. These protocols have been mailed to chapter leadership. If you would like a copy of the protocols or have questions about implementing them, email floridarequests@hadassah.org.

Zipporah Chapter thanks all who contributed to our efforts to honor Melissa Dobrin (z"l). Thanks to you, we are planning a commemorative tile supporting the Full Circle Campaign. The tile will say, "Zipporah honors Melissa Dobrin z"l". Plans are also being made for having her included in Hadassah's perpetual yahrtzeit program, so that Kaddish can be said in her memory annually. Melissa is sorely missed by many of us. She did so much for our chapter and for Broward Region.
Florida 50 Delivery Room
Thank you to everyone who donated earlier this year to the Florida 50 Project. Your donation supports a new Delivery Room, the future of Jerusalem’s population, and ensures the health and wellbeing of every mother and child.The temporary plaque is on the Mezanine level at Ein Kerem until the construction is completed and a permanent plaque can be placed at Mount Scopus.

Upcoming Hadassah Magazine Discussion: Live with Zibby Owens an online conversation between Executive Editor Lisa Hostein and book maven, best-selling author and podcaster Zibby Owens.
