 Get involved with Hadassah.

Round Building Construction Update January 2020 - Glass Ceiling Removal

Capture.PNG

In July 2017, HWZOA committed to raise $91.2 million to renovate the Round Building, a key component of Hadassah Medical Organization where life-saving research and procedures are carried out on a daily basis. The Round Building is so vital to health care in Israel and the world.

Here are some of the renovations currently taking place:

The empty core of the round building will be filled in, to create much needed floor space. The first stage of this process will be removing the glass ceiling.

To prevent rainwater from accumulating on the floor of Level 3, once the ceiling has been removed, drainage holes will be prepared and the floor will be sealed with waterproof sealant.

Once the ceiling is removed, the crane will install a circular steel structure on the roof of the building to support the new concrete floor area and to hold the external glass casing.

Achieving our vision for 360 Degrees of Healing is possible only through the full support of our committed friends around the world. To complete the renovation and expansion of the iconic Round Building — so vital to health care in Israel and HMO medical breakthroughs with global impact — we aim to raise $91.2 million.

With your help, we can ensure that the iconic Round Building at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem helps keep Israel at the forefront of medicine and secures Hadassah’s legacy of healing for the next 100 years.

Please join us in our commitment to healing tomorrow. Support 360° of Healing today.
