Women's Health and Advocacy Conference
JOIN US: May 15-17. Come meet Judy Woodruff (invited), Anchor and Managing Editor of PBS NewsHour who will moderate the health panel at the National Press Club! Hear Megan Hilty, Star of NBC's Smash and Tony nominee at our spectacular Gala! Our panel is complete and influential, our "From Passion to Action" honorees, Nancy Falchuk and Barbara Heller, are exceptional, the Summit speakers and panels will be powerful, and our members of Congress await us on the Hill! Some rooms are still available at the Capital Hilton.

History of Empowering Women in Rural Communities
SHARE WITH MEMBERS: The Commission on the Status of Women at the UN meets annually. The Commission's seats are filled by member states where deliberations take place on progress on women's issues. Featured are side events given by non-governmental organizations. Hadassah and ORT cooperated this March along with the deputy Ambassador from Israel to the UN in a workshop examining the two organizations' efforts regarding outreach to rural women. Karen Ezrine, Hadassah Medical Organization Vice Chair, spoke on behalf of Hadassah.

New from Gil Troy
GET READY: Gil Troy, who calls himself a Hadassah Zionist, has prepared Hadassah study guides (now available on myHadassah) to complement his new book, The Zionist Ideas: Visions for the Jewish Homeland—Then, Now, Tomorrow, which is now available for pre-order on Amazon. You can begin to plan for late Spring/Summer, or early Fall study groups. Please share the link so that your study group participants can order their book today. If you have any additional questions, please contact Judy Shereck at programming@hadassah.org

Day in the District
STAY PUT: Did you know that you can advocate with your legislators in your home town? With Day in the District, you meet with your Congresspeople in their *local offices* and do not have to travel to a state capital or Washington, DC. Hadassah is proud to support the Never Again Education Act, introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney earlier this month. Download our latest talking points to learn about our most timely advocacy initiatives on myHadassah. Email advocacy@hadassah.org and we'll make it easy.

Partnering with JCCs
Does your region partner with local JCCs? Hadassah is attending the JCC Association’s Biennial Convention in May and we’re looking forward to connecting more units with JCCs. It's also a great way to indentify new members! Want to get connected? Email Eliana at health@hadassah.org.

Living Leadership
ARE YOU ON TRACK? Spring has sprung and 1/4 of the 2018 Hadassah year is behind us. As we meet with our leaders it may be time to assess if your plans for this year are on track! The exercise highlighted this month asks: Have you gotten 'round TUIT?' It will help identify where progress is on track or where a bit of additional help is needed. The Leadership Department at hld@hadassah.org is happy to help you continue to have a successful year.

May is Nurses Appreciation Month
Hadassah needs your help finding outstanding members who are nurses to highlight during Nurses Appreciation Month. Do you know an exceptional Hadassah member who’s a nurse? Send an email as soon as possible to nursescouncils@hadassah.org - be sure to include their name, contact info and a sentence about why they stand out.

It Takes a Village!
We are here to support you! Membership VP's (and others) are overseeing the data clean up project and it should be well underway. If you can help, please contact your region membership VP or the person the president has delegated to assist with this project. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jane Nyce at jnyce@hadassah.org or Jenny Worsnopp at jworsnopp@hadassah.org.
