RESEARCH FUNDRAISING IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3
Yes, there are designated months during the year to highlight specific diseases but The Research in Service to Humanity program can be used any time of the year, at your discretion. Research is done every day, 365 days a year. Hadassah has designed so many ideas and tools to help you fundraise by creating an event, emailing an appeal and scheduling activities throughout the year. It's as simple as going to myHadassah>Quick Links>HMO Research. Once there, you will find Programs in a Box for the following: Heart Health, Multiple Sclerosis, Melanoma and Breast Cancer. You will also see Other Disease Information which includes material on ALS, Alzheimer's, Diabetes, and Macular Degeneration or click on the Video section to find and view an appropriate video to incorporate into your activities. HMO research is not only beneficial to the patients who are diagnosed with these diseases, this research material is vital information to share with your communities to bring awareness about health issues, help your unit raise funds and promote Hadassah engagement. Now is the time to begin!

HADASSAH BOARD PASSES TWO POLICY STATEMENTS
A Nursing Policy Statement, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing, honors the nursing profession and reaffirms support to enhance nursing education and promote supportive workplace policies. The full Nursing Policy Statement can be read on myHadassah. Join our October 2018 Mission to Israel and select the Nursing Track.
Hadassah joins with countless women seeking accountability and change for victims of sexual harassment and assault. We reaffirm and expand our previous policy statement to include sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, and include actionable steps that can be taken to mitigate some of the systemic ways that women remain vulnerable. The full Sexual Harassment and Assault Policy Statement can be read on myHadassah. To gain deeper understanding on how sexual harassment negatively impacts women's health, attend our Women's Health and Advocacy Conference May 15-17 in Washington D.C.

New Menu Offered by the Speakers Bureau
In addition to helping units identify speakers for various events and assisting in finding the right Conference Advisor, the Speakers Bureau now collaborates with the Jewish Book Council. This provides an opportunity for a unit to invite an author, from a list of approximately 200, to the unit event. These authors travel under special terms with JBC without an honorarium. The cost to a unit and the process by which to request an author can be found on myHadassah's Speakers Bureau page.
