Catch the ALL NEW Provocative Defining Zionism!
WATCH. ENGAGE. DISCUSS: Do you think lawfare is the new weapon of war against Israel? Watch our latest thought-provoking DZ with lawyer Brooke Goldstein, founder and executive director of the Lawfare Project. She believes that the global community must ramp up its fight against anti-Israel policies. Create a meaningful program around this interesting subject with your units using our tailor-made discussion guide and promotional materials found in myhadassah.
This program is available for your members on the website at hadassah.org/definingzionism

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
DOWNLOAD & DISTRIBUTE TO YOUR MEMBERS: Download Hadassah's new breast cancer flyer for current information on HMO's breast cancer research efforts. For anyone touched by this disease, the up-to-date research content will be of particular interest. Units planning either a general research-related program or an event to tie in with October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month may wish to incorporate this additional information in their programming. Breast cancer, with its disproportionate impact on Ashkenazi Jews, is one of the four diseases which Hadassah will be highlighting in 2017 as part of its Research in Service to Humanity campaign.

Program Grant Money Available
DOWNLOAD APPLICATION: Chapters and Regions can apply for up to $2,000 to implement a local Defining Zionism program with a significant membership outreach component in your community for 2016/2017. View previous National Defining Zionism programs to understand the focus and design a program suitable for your community. This is a great opportunity to educate and engage prospective members to embrace Hadassah and our mission. Access the Defining Zionism Membership Guidelines and Grant Application on myHadassah or contact membership@hadassah.org for additional information and to discuss opportunities for your area.

New Year; New Meeting Ideas
NEW FOR YOU: Shana Tova to you and yours. As you are contemplating how to plan your New Year with Hadassah, go to the Leadership Library, and look at the section entitled "Region Conference, Meetings and Events." In it you will find all sorts of tools and ideas for planning your meetings, with engaging and memorable activities. If you would prefer to have one-on-one conversation with the Leadership Department, please email hld@hadassah.org. The Leadership Department will set up a call with you.

Hadassah Logo
IMPORTANT INFO: Two of our national brand logos trademarks have been changed from a TM to (R). The updated ones are for the "HADASSAH H" and the vertical version of "Hadassah The Power of Women Who DO" are in myHadassah. Please use the correct one in all your upcoming printed materials as well as all emails, etc. Questions? Please contact Agnes Gregorio at agregorio@hadassah.org

2016 Voter Engagement Resources
MOBILIZE: Hadassah units are encouraged to participate in non-partisan voter engagement activities. Share our #HadassahVotes graphics on social media and encourage your members to spread the word about registration, absentee ballots, and voting—especially to young people! Remember units may not host, visit, or feature any candidates until after the election.

Retain your Chai Society Members
ACTION REQUESTED: As the newest step in the ladder of annual giving, Chai Society is fast growing. This is because of your efforts to obtain new members. Be part of our growth by contacting the lapsed members in your Unit and getting their annual contributions back. A suggestedphone script is available on myHadassah here: Suggested script for asking current or lapsed annual donors to recommit or step up. Questions? Please contact annualgiving@hadassah.org.

A "Tile" is Just a Tile Until it has Your Name on It!
DOWNLOAD, ADVERTISE & PROMOTE: Your members, associates and supporters have a choice of four medical areas to support with a beautiful road tile to honor or memorialize someone special: maternity, pediatrics, cancer treatment and gene therapy. Download and distribute the promotional road tile flyer at meetings/events and place ad (add link) in your bulletin/newsletters/eblasts. Have donors share their feelings about seeing their tiles in Israel, and finally why not call a potential donor and ASK. For just $1500, a tile can save a life. A road tile leaves your mark in Jerusalem and creates a family legacy of "tzedakah" to share with generations to come.

Membership Countdown to 2017—Life Membership Increase to $250
PROMOTE LIFE MEMBERSHIP NOW! Only a few months left to upgrade your gifted members for the special rate of $180. Request a list of eligible members from membership@hadassah.org and personally contact them by phone, letter or email. Place ads, available on myHadassah under Membership, in your upcoming bulletins and newsletters. Note that new women can still enroll for Life Members at $212 before December 31st.

Web Support: New Process to Serve You Faster
EMAIL US FOR HELP: In order to better serve you and ensure a quick response we are expanding our support ticketing program. Effective immediately, we ask that all requests for assistance be sent to websupport@hadassah.org for technical issues related to Hadassah websites, myHadassah and Luminate emails, etc. Please do not send individual emails or leave voicemails for George Kastanos, unless you have not received a response within 24-36 hours. Also, please note that if you send in a request after 2:00pm on a Friday or holiday, we will respond on the next business day, in the order of the requests.

Let The Planning Begin
DOWNLOAD RESOURCES: It's not too late to tweak your fundraising activities as we approach the end of 2016 and not too early to plan for 2017. The Grassroots Fundraising Dept. and the Research in Service to Humanity Campaign Team are happy to provide some help. Focus on one or more of the suggested research areas for ideas to introduce the exciting new research campaign to your community and achieve your fundraising goals. (These program ideas are recommendations and may be adapted at the discretion of each unit.) Utilize the Endless Beginnings Necklace flyer at your meetings/events and the Endless Beginnings copy ready ad for your bulletins/newsletters. Donations for these necklaces support HMO research. Don't forget to enter your research program(s) in our Unit Research Award contest!
