Temple Shaaray Tefila

Dr. Aliza Ben-Zacharia, Neurology Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Medical Center, has been a clinical nurse since 1983, as well as an educator in rehabilitation focusing on spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury clinical care. As a nurse practitioner in neurology she also focused on immunology and neurological diseases caring for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) throughout their lifespan (Mount Sinai Medical Center 1988-present). Dr. Ben-Zacharia is a nurse with a holistic view, who has cared for patients and their caregivers providing optimal care and psychosocial support. Patients with MS require comprehensive care due to the complexity and multi-system involvement.
